Embracing The Funny How.

Funny how things spin in circles til you realize the water's running backwards, teetering on heels five inches taller than you're used to.  Leaning against the passenger's door of an idle taxicab, parked outside your front door waiting on whomever will follow.  I don't remember where we sat, who said what, when my hands creeped up your leg like they had a mind of their own.  Funny, really, how it's never the destination but the journey that heals.  You can love all you want, you can cry over spilled guts, I'll be waiting to share a smile when you're finished.  Tell me it's luck, I don't really mind what brings people together, as long as it sounds nice in the end.  Broken bicycles, forgotten credit cards, my favorite t-shirt on the other side of somebody else's living room.  It's okay when you're young, it's even better when you're getting old.  Funny how if you just keep living, you can't help but smile.
