30 things

I stumbled upon this article titled 30 Things to Stop Doing to Yourself and decided that, although this was a fantatic article, I wanted to steal the idea and come up with 15 things to start doing for yourself, instead.

1. Start every morning by looking in the mirror and audibly telling yourself that you look good.  2. Don't deny yourself certain things simply because you don't want to count the calories.  3. Laugh alone - in public.  4. Never be afraid to love too much, or invest too much time in a relationship.  5. Remember to take a bath once in a while.  Not a shower, a bath.  6. Paint your toenails a new color.  7. Pay for the person's coffee behind you in the drive-thru line.  They'll be thinking about it for the rest of the day, and you might too!  8. Buy a new book.  9. Smile at ten strangers daily, or more if you're feeling so inclined.  10. Use your next coffee date to reminisce about something fantastic with an old friend.  11. Hand write a letter to a good friend telling them how fantastic they are, and how having them in your life has changed or bettered you personally.  12. Happy hour regularly.  13. Interrupt your daily routine at least once a week - i.e., have lunch in a totally new spot, or wake up an hour earlier for a run or just for extra time to yourself in the morning.  14. Secretly foot the bill next time you're out with friends and can afford it, then pretend to be as surprised as they are when everyone finds out.  15. Admit openly that you like __(fill in the blank here with embarrassing TV show/comedian/actress you adore)__, and don't give a shit who judges you for it.
