Soo now that it's officially summer, you know what that means... festival season! I've got a few on my proverbial wishlist, and if I find friends and dolla bills near & around the same time, you bet that's exactly where you'll find me. Day dreaming of good music, better vibes, and layin in the sunshine.
1. Outside Lands Festival
Three days of music in a bad ass setting (Golden Gate Park) for only $200 doll hairs. Sign me up. The festival runs august 12th to the 14th, and not only is this a music festival, but it also showcases local bay area restaurants in the form of a food festival, and WINE - lots and lots of wine. Yes please: The Black Keys, Girl Talk, Erykah Badu, The Roots, Ellie Goulding, Phantogram, Foster the People, and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
2. Rock The Bells Festival
Rock The Bells is on august 27th at the Shoreline amphitheater in Mountain View, California - and it's cheap as hell. $55 for lawn seating plus all them bullshit fees, but, whatever, so cheap I could die. Yes Please: Lauryn Hill, Common, Mac Miller, Souls of Mischief (93 tilllll), and, of course, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
3. Music Fest Northwest
The highest rated on my festival wish list is OBVIOUSLY Music Fest NW. September 7-11 in the Rose City at a number of awesome venues, from The aladdin to Dante's, Doug Fir to the Wonder, the festival is seriously all over Portland. The three day pass is a complete steal at $115 for all three headlining shows at Pioneer Square PLUS every other show at the various venues across the city. Holy. Crap. Yes Please: Iron & Wine, Band of Horses, Blitzen Trapper, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis uhhhh-gain, Yacht, Horse Feathers, Emancipator, and The Hood Internet.
You can find me dreaminnnnnn
