If you want to fall in love, well that's just fine, but not with me, I make moves and make love on my own time. I'm only here for a short while, so breathe me in, share some smiles, hold on to the moments that make your head spin. I've been looking for someone like you, for a dance, for a moment, precious as it exists alone. Surrounded by the blended, magnificent to look at but confusing to the senses. One touch, I'm sold. Sunrises and mimosas, hangover eyes and sleepy hands that will never make fists, rooftops and hide and seek beneath this tired old ceiling, I could get used to this. Mountains and rivers, snaking their way between, stomping through puddles barefoot, catching your eye something between a smile and a wink. I'm lost in this, I've lost it somewhere, help me retrieve it? We could try, you could smile a little longer, I could wrap myself around you and never let go. Stop blacking out the moments where you said you loved me, and I'll stop pretending I don't know you in front of my friends. Love me if you want to, just don't admit it til I turn to leave. Stay a while, the sun never sets on hopeful hearts and the clock never retires for those who believe it won't.
