Dear love, we've been awake so long.  Let's sleep, let's sleep.  Rainstorms came washed away the things we knew then, what do we know now except how to play pretend?  Make believe with a half crooked smile on that face, so pretty, so confused.  Such a mixed bag, I plunge my hand deep and still return empty, seul dans la nuit, without you, sans toi.  I'm coming back again and again, knocking your door down to plead with you to play house with me.  I'm bruised but unbroken, my legs move me forward with my neck stretched far, I can't stand to lose sight of you again.  Such pretty things made me believe they'll make it back someday, into my arms while I'm in yours, but for now they go away.  This orchestra of two, set to music just for you, I made this and I hope you like it, viens avec moi.  We can lay on the floor, our arms spread wide, telling stories from when we were 3 feet high.  Beautiful juxtaposition, your skin against mine.  With knapsacks tied to our backs and an empty bottle of sunscreen we can walk with extended thumbs til we reach our destination - wherever it may be.  Planes making shadows on the pavement all around us, let's catch one, let's ride it till morning.  Making out behind closed doors like we were young, let's do it again, I'd do it again.  Mistakes I made that you laughed about and it made me feel alright.  Train whistles outside my bedroom window keeping me awake at night, but you were here, and now you're gone.  Let's dream, let's dream.  Rêve avec moi, je ne vous décevrons pas.
