Jokes really are funnier when you have to explain them.

You know how you tell a joke, and there's always that obligatory person that says "I don't get it."  Well the act of explaining the joke gives you some sort of odd satisfaction that what you're explaining is actually funny, almost as if you made the joke up yourself.
