...or not.

I think most people who are full force behind the mania and spread of any damning religious movement are buying into a reason to feel good about themselves rather than a theology. People who say they've "found God" have typically only found something that makes them feel important, a purpose if you will, but not an actual ideology. This is where religion and faith intersect.. or not. If you know what you believe and you can back up your theology, congratulations, whatever. But you probably can only recite verses from a book that you memorized in your bible study group on Tuesday mornings, and then spew religious propaganda that you heard in a sermon or one of those neat little podcasts you subscribe to on your iPod telling you what to believe. All homosexuals are going to hell! Good thing you aren't gay. Equal rights for everyone, because God loves all, but we don't want gay people to get married because that would just be TOO equal. Next time you feel the urge to share with somebody your religious reasonings, think twice, decide if you really truly believe what you're saying.
